What is the main difference between symmetric and asymmetric key cryptography?

Symmetric uses two keys, asymmetric uses one.

Symmetric is slower, asymmetric is faster.

Symmetric uses a single key, asymmetric uses a key pair.

Symmetric is more secure than asymmetric.

The key difference lies in the number of keys used: one for symmetric, and a pair (public and private) for asymmetric.
